Baggage Handling System Maintenance Technician
The Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority at the Harrisburg International Airport has an opening for a Baggage Handling System Maintenance Technician in our Building Maintenance Department. The qualified person should possess the ability to perform mechanical and light electrical maintenance and repair to our baggage handling system as well as our passenger boarding bridges. The person in this position will also be responsible for monitoring maintenance calls. And should also know how to operate small and medium truck-mounted snowplows, sweepers and walk-behind snow removal equipment. Individual will also be required to participate in Airport snow removal operations. This position is second shift (3:00pm-11:30pm). The work schedule may be early mornings through late evenings and weekends.
The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and good mechanical background. The ability to complete all FAA required training, a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a good driving record or ability to obtain Pennsylvania driver’s license within 30 days of hire date. As well as the ability to pass a 10-year background and criminal investigation in order to be issued Airport Identification Badge.
